I’ve just finished my new website, it’s been quite a journey, my tech skills were slow, my design skills and writing a journey too, but I’m quite pleased with actually finishing it! Next the recordings! Recording is underway now, and a friend is showing me how to make them professional.
Kitchen garden
I continued clearing the two veg beds I discovered, pulled out the rotten wooden sides, and planted trumpet squash, french beans, a couple of winter squash, 4 strawberry plants someone gave me and a bronze fennel. All bedded in but next year I will be moving the strawberries and fennel. Then I dug out some of the raspberry crowns, extending the clear soil out from those beds, across to the other side of the allotment and discovered, a little pond! Under all the debris.
My allotment still looks a big mess, the beauty won’t start to appear until next year, but here are some pics. It is slow going because I have a lot on.
Recipe
Broad bean, mint and mozzarella
This isn’t really a recipe, just a summer love. Mozzarella, broad beans and fresh mint, that wet greyish sea salt you can get with all the minerals, and a really nice single origin olive oil.
It’s a short Slow Sunday this week because I have some purple sprouting to pop in the allotment and a few leeks and, a few more raspberry crowns to dig out!
Wishing you the warmest,
Lucy x
Congrats on your website and kitchen garden progress, Lucy! Both look amazing, as does that bean, mint, and mozzarella dish!
