Today is one of those changing season days which can’t quite make up it’s mind. Warm sun and blue sky woke me up. I opened all the windows, stuck my head out and that sun, shone on my skin. I watched the early morning garden waking up as dew sat on grass and daisies and every, thing; was warm, sunny and golden.
By breakfast grey moist skies had rolled in and now, we have a mild but grey under watery day. Vest and shorts replaced with jeans and t-shirt.
I’ve been planting up window boxes with mints, thymes, rosemary, tarragon and marjoram. They blend into the tree out front and even though the sky has become dark and thundery, my eyes drink in their rich, lush, vibrant green, full of everything that nourishes.
Now the bees and flies come to visit them. Then two little birds from the tree, hover, tiny wings flapping so fast. Down on the pavement the black cat with fluffy tail walks, very slowly, brushing the side of his body against the red brick wall.
The sky is even darker now, I think a storm is brewing as leaves on the tree flutter then are motionless, then flutter again. It is very still on this little piece of the planet, twirling so silently, in space.

Recipe
Goats cheese & truffle risotto
This was tasty. I sautéd arborio rice in butter, then added chopped French beans and chopped tenderstem, then added stock little by little until cooked. At the end I added lemon zest and juice, good salt, freshly ground black pepper, sliced truffle and truffle oil, goats cheese and freshly chopped parsley. Scrummy.
