I thought it was time I started producing things for my paying subscribers. When I have enough paying subscribers I shall give up work, then I will have lots of time to produce all the things I say I’m going to produce for you.
To those who have started supporting me to do this out of belief in belief in me,
T H A N K Y O U.
So, today I have pulled together the different snippets I’ve put out over the last year, of my first ‘fall asleep’ story. I will be recording it, but thought you might like to know how to read to a rhythm that will help the brain shift from stressed to relaxed and, fall into a delicious sleep. One that supports the brain to have REM sleep – that’s when your brain is processing the stresses of the day.
I have popped three dots when you need to stop and leave a little break, to get the rhythm (count to 3 silently inside your head, don’t worry about thinking you are taking too long, it will feel natural after a while and you won’t need to count). Soon, I really will record these stories to help you fall asleep and manage stress.
This is the first episode of a children’s ‘fall asleep’ story, but it would work for adults too! The aim of the ‘fall asleep’ stories, is to shift the brain from high beta frequency (stressed) to theta frequency (relaxed).
Tangerine beginnings
There’s a tree outside the window…in the morning, as the sun rises, little shapes of tangerine light twinkle through the gently…moving leaves. It is the perfect… beginning… to the perfect…day.
When Sam gets up it’s early and silent, everyone is still asleep, only Sam and one of the cats are up. The cat’s name is Tiger, she stretches, arches her back, and yawns, then starts purring as she brushes past Sam’s legs.
When Sam was 6 this stripy cat came to stay, and Sam named her Tiger. A few months later Tiger gave birth to 3 kittens, and they all stayed.
On this morning of tangerine serenity…the kittens are still asleep, cozy…in the kitchen, curled up by the warm stove.
Sometimes, in the evening, as Sam lies on one of the sofas in the attic room, looking through the skylight at the stars twinkling… Tiger lies across Sam’s tummy purring, and all the little kittens join her, lying across Sam’s tummy in neat little lines, all purring to different rhythms, Sam’s whole body filled with all the different purrs, somehow, all in balance…and soothing…Sometimes Sam will fall asleep like that…
