Thank you for explaining so eloquently Lucy why it is so needed to soothe our 'weary' brains. I find it very awkward having to tell people that I actively try not to listen to the news. Not that I don't care, but I care too much and end up in a complete state of panic and despair about what is happening all over the globe.
Now, I try to have a positive impact as possible with those immediately around me and the small community where I live. Hoping that these small actions will ripple out wider and wider.
Thank you for your comment, May. It will, our brains aren’t evolved to take in all the information and process it. The brain has a mechanism for processing stresses of the day when we sleep at night, it’s REM sleep, but it’s only about 20% of our sleep cycle and cannot get through all the stresses that come into our brain in this modern global 24/7 lifestyle of stress, hence most people are walking around with unprocessed stress stuck in their hypno campus, and that’s why there is so much anger anxiety and depression. We’ve been conditioned to believe that we can change the world, which in a sense we could if we all worked in unison and just sat down in peace across the whole globe and refused to fight each other, no matter what, but that doesn’t happen because too many people are kept functioning from their survival brain which can only operate from anxiety, anger and or depression, and can only operate from unconscious patters, and needs someone or something to blame and then attack in order to survive. And so, managing stress is the only way to address that, it’s the only chance we have of not constantly turning against each other.
Love what you say here about how we can bring ourselves to the world from a peaceful place within. So true. So needed 🙏
🙏🏽 I think it’s the only way, with every tiny interaction we have with people and life. It can lead to real humility and ordinary kindness 🧡
So beautiful. So wise. So needed. Thank you, Lucy.
Thank you 🙏🏽

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you Lucy x
