I have a friend who says that every time she starts spiralling into panic, anxiety or other unhelpful emotions, her husband says “Stop right now & tell me 3 things you’re grateful for.” I can imagine this feeling a little annoying in the moment, but reading this post, I can see that it may actually be a smart tactic, to counter stress before it can develop.
Once we spiral it can be hard, and intensely irritation if you are a pitta type! The way it works best is to develop the habit of doing daily workouts, just like you would at the gym for your body, but for your mind with joy dots or seeing the beauty. Gratitude is good too. Preventative is the best way.
