Love your descriptions of winter Lucy. Christmas is the one time of year when I feel nostalgic for English winter. This is my 18th Christmas in the Southern hemisphere but I will never get used to a mid-summer Christmas! It's one of the many layers of grief and absence that come with being an immigrant.
