Sounds like an absolutely lovely Sunday evening, Lucy. I miss the contrast of coming in from the cold and wet, wrapping myself in blankets, cuddling up with a warm drink and a book.
It’s Monday morning here in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I’ve been up since before dawn - even beat the neighbourhood roosters today! Seated at my desk, I’m listening to quite the orchestra: the wildest bird sounds outside my window, Thai students practicing traditional instruments at the school for the arts one street over, a neighbourhood two-year-old who bursts into tantrums from time to time... This, too, is lovely.
How Lovely, Dana. I’ve never been to Thailand, maybe one day! It must be really rich to hear the sounds of different cultures and lives. Sounds just perfect 🙏🏽
Love this! Thanks Lucy. The thunder just missed us here on the south coast today. It was a hot & muggy day here, which I spent in my parents’ front yard, where I was running a thrift sale. Mercifully, my dad had pulled out the awning on his motorhome for me, so I was very comfortable in the shade & had a wonderful flowing day, chatting to the neighbours that passed by, & sometimes, in a slow patch, having one of my little nieces curled up on my lap as we read a book together. Then a little walk to take down my posters & a whole family roast in the back garden this evening. Bliss! 💛 I love love your idea of leaving music on to come home to. I too struggle coming home to an empty house sometimes, especially in winter, so I’ll definitely be trying this in my new home. Thank you Xox
