LOVE this! Thank you, Lucy. You’re making me want to do an Autumn cleanse too. I bought some organic butter weeks ago but am yet to try making it into ghee. Perhaps today is the day! 💛 Love this simple kanji recipe too. If you don’t have a slow cooker, how long does it take to boil down the rice, if doing it in the morning?

In all honesty I have never made it that way! I would guess on a gentle simmer about 30 minutes, but love to hear how long it takes you! If vata is imbalanced or you are feeling undernourished, I suggest 3 days prep (cutting out processed foods/sugar, alcohol and caffeine—if possible without huge cold turkey symptoms, if so sip green tea in small amounts) and just one day of active cleanse (link in post), see how you get on and definitely stay warm and cosy. Feel free to ask any questions if you have any concerns.

I think I’ll just buy a slow cooker! So many of your recipes use one & so well too! I already don’t have alcohol or caffeine & avoid sugar when I can, so hopefully the pre-cleanse prep will go well. I will probably only do this cleanse in a week or two (after I move house). Hope that won’t be too late. 🤞🏼

It will be fine, it is one you can do whenever you don’t feel great, just take care if vata dosha is elevated 🌻
