Love the joy dots with anything outside and also thinking about that recipe is soothing my overextended vata. I don’t feel grounded without some meat/fish, potatoes and butter in my diet. Not quite yogic but soothes my Celtic dna. Thanks for the post, quite timely for me today.

It is hard to follow a completely yogic spiritual pathway in Westen culture, that is so rajasic and tamasic, i find my vata pitta constitution needs meat, dairy and good quality oils/butter/ghee too, to feel grounded and to protect my nervous system.

A lovely letter, Lucy! I had a very peaceful Sunday with a Buddhist nun, Ayya Anopama, who led us in retreat at my sangha friend’s home. I was very tired, so when she suggested we hold the day in silence, my soul said “yes please!” It was exactly what I needed. To practice & to lie in the sun & just be present – held in loving company but without needing to say or “be” anything. I am trying to carry some of that energy into this new week. 🙏🏼
